This period comedy for eight women and two men stays very close to the text and style of the novel set in 1830. Do you remember the wonderful BBC series starring Judi Dench as Miss Matty? Of course, this is only a small ‘peep-hole’ into the original story. It begins after the death of Miss Matty’s older sister. If you have read the novel or seen the film (or wish you had), then you must see the play!
