Sally Raynor’s husband Michael is presumed dead after he went missing in the jungles of South America. Neither he nor any of those with him have been heard of for over two years. Amazingly, he has survived and returns home to Sally who has moved on with her life. She is confronted with his strange behaviour which is compounded with his affinity with the darkness of night.
With support from her family doctor and the new love of her life, John Harper, she tries to come to terms with her tormented husband. She feels obliged to put her war-wracked husband out of the way, or at least put means of suicide in his way. Dramatic situations and the suspense of the interactions between family and friends and John’s attempts to face his demons make for a gripping climax.
