In search of a peaceful life, Chester Dreadnought buys a cottage in the country. He arrives ahead of his wife and manages to become entangled in the advances of the pneumatic Carol at the local inn. Throw in a bumbling handyman and his wife, a controlling mother-in-law, an eccentric trigger-happy father-in-law, an army sergeant and an enthusiastic archaeologist who si off with the fairies – his new venture threatens to blow up in his face! Bang! Boom!
