From June 2015, the Garrick Theatre will be undergoing much needed renovation by the owners of the building; the City of Swan.
The works include:
…replacement of the air conditioning system,
…complete rewiring of power, lighting, fire and security systems,
…upgrading of the building insulation,
…boxing in the open eaves,
…heritage restoration works.
In addition, the Garrick Theatre Club will be upgrading the production sound, video and lighting systems.
The 2015 season therefore will be disrupted to allow for the works. Refer to Season 2015 for details.
The successful tenderer for the renovation work is PRC Building Services Pty Ltd. The 1st stage of the work will commence on Monday 15th June.
This will be removal and disposal of the old air-conditioning system and removal of redundant wiring and associated equipment.
Demolition work began on Tuesday 16th of June and will continue for 2 weeks. Then the installation phase begins.
