The Garrick has an active Technical Production Crew responsible for the lighting, sound and all other technical requirements for all shows staged at the theatre.
The Garrick Theatre has recently updated a significant amount of production equipment in the form of a computer controlled show queuing system, digital audio mixer, new audio amplifiers, new HD video system and extensive rewiring and modernising. Further enhancements to the theatre’s technical capabilities are being planned.
Training and hands-on experience is available for all that are interested in acquiring new skills in the areas of operating sound and lighting equipment, sound and lighting design, equipment rigging, equipment maintenance, special effects, and much more.
No previous skill is necessary, only an enthusiasm to learn and get involved.
In 2017, training sessions will be held at the theatre in all aspects of technical production. More details to come.
The Technical Supervisor and Technical Advisor are very interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in joining the technical production crew.
